As a Business Development Team Manager, you'll lead a team of talented professionals who help customers choose Sage as their trusted partner. This role goes beyond sales you'll play a key part in developing people, driving innovation, and shaping exceptional customer experiences from first interaction through to long-term success. What You'll Do Develop and inspire your team by coaching individuals to grow their skills, confidence, and impact-enabling consistently exceptional customer engagement. Drive innovation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to scale, automate, and streamline processes, ensuring a seamless and efficient customer journey. Lead cross-functional collaboration, partnering across the business to shape and evolve Sage's Finance, HCM, and Payroll solutions for small and mid-sized organisations. - Lead and develop a team of Sales Development Representatives, with a focus on performance, coaching, and innovation.
- Enable effective communication of Sage's value proposition to stakeholders at all levels.
- Drive growth and impact by collaborating with internal teams to improve scalability and effectiveness.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to deliver against customer acquisition targets.
- Build strong internal partnerships to execute aligned go-to-market strategies.
- Strengthen product knowledge across the team, ensuring clear differentiation and competitive positioning.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and provide reliable forecasting to senior stakeholders.
- Promote operational excellence through high standards, structure, and consistency.
- Support smooth customer transitions from Sales Development into broader Sales teams.
- Plan for future success through talent development, succession planning, and capability building.
- Champion innovation by leading and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presenting and influencing at multiple levels - Experience developing others through structured coaching approaches (e.g. GROW model)
- Passion for creating a high-performance, engaged team environment
