If you are external and apply, your application will not be considered at this time.The key purpose of this role as Business Development Manager is to support the Commercial Sector Director and Solutions Director in driving growth within the Government sector.Job DescriptionYou will play a central role in identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, working collaboratively across functions to deliver compelling solutions that meet the strategic needs of government clients.This is a high-impact role suited to someone commercially astute, with a strong understanding of public sector requirements and a passion for creating value through long-term partnerships.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a robust approach to developing social value solutions in bids, which can then be mobilised and progressed into contract deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to co-design and manage social value bid solutions, responding to customer KPIs effectively.
- Engage with governance processes as a social value subject matter expert, contributing to artefacts, reviews, and presentations.
- Leverage your bid writing experience to develop compelling social value bid responses, adhering to government requirements.
- Maximise future social value scores through a consistent and well-thought-out approach to social value solutions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across the business to integrate social value into bid development and contract delivery, ensuring proper evidence capture.
Background in business development or complex/solution sales. - Knowledge of social value activities across all elements of Public Sector.
- Strong knowledge about service industry within Healthcare and ideally further knowledge of Private and Public Sector
- Understanding of business lifecycle, sectors, competition, and customers.
- Working knowledge of National TOMs, social value monitoring frameworks, or delivering social impact operationally.
- Experience in social value, CSR/ESG roles within contracting organisations or similar.
- Ability to work successfully on own and within a wider team
- Ability to formulate, cost, and describe social value solutions within bid response requirements. Self-starter with resilience and adaptability to changing priorities.
