Title: Business Development Manager / Client Manager - Defence Cyber Security


Location: UK Based | £80k - £120k + Uncapped Performance Bonus | Predominantly Remote | UK Security Clearance Required


Role Overview


Do you know how business really gets done within UK Defence? Can you build senior relationships, spot opportunities early and take ownership from the first conversation through to winning the work? This is a senior commercial role with a growing Cyber Security consultancy that already has a strong Defence presence and is now expanding further across the RAF, Royal Navy and Army.


This isn't a traditional sales role where you generate an opportunity and pass it elsewhere. You'll operate as a partner, owning the commercial lifecycle while developing long-term customer and partner relationships.


Responsibilities



  • Developing new business and strategic relationships across UK Defence

  • Identifying opportunities and owning them through to contract award

  • Building relationships with senior Defence stakeholders and Programme Directors

  • Understanding customer programmes, priorities and decision-making structures

  • Leading and contributing to bids, including hands-on bid writing

  • Developing strategic partnerships across the Defence ecosystem

  • Growing existing accounts and retaining long-term customer relationships


Candidate Requirements


You'll need existing relationships and a strong network within UK Defence, alongside a genuine understanding of how the market operates, who makes decisions and where budgets sit.


Relationships and experience selling into the RAF, Royal Navy or Army would be great. You could come from Business Development, Client Management, Account Management, Capture or Defence Consultancy, but you'll need experience developing and winning business, alongside hands-on bids experience through to client relationships.


Additional Information


This is a predominantly remote role with considerable autonomy and no micromanagement. Customer meetings and occasional travel to Bristol or London will be managed around your own diary. Current UK Security Clearance (SC), or eligibility to obtain it, is required.
