Full Job Description

We're working with an established engineering consultancy that's looking to bring in a Business Development Manager to help grow its Structural Engineering team.
This is a newly created role and a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships and helping win exciting projects across the construction sector.
Working closely with the Directors and engineering teams, you'll be responsible for generating new business, developing key client relationships and increasing the company's presence across the market. You'll be speaking with developers, architects, contractors, project managers and consultants, helping secure work across a range of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. You'll also manage and support a team of Sales Executives, helping them develop their skills and drive new business opportunities.

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience selling into the construction industry, either selling structural or civil engineering services or technical construction products or specialist building systems.
You might already be working within an engineering consultancy, or perhaps you're selling structural products, façade systems, steelwork solutions, building envelope products, temporary works solutions or other technically led construction products and services.
The most important thing is that you understand the construction market, structural engineering and have a proven ability to build relationships and win business. Experience dealing with developers, architects, contractors and consultants would be highly advantageous.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a mix of strategic business development and hands-on relationship management and is looking to make a real impact within a growing business.
Package:
£40,000 OTE £90,000, Business & Travel Expenses, Company Pension
