Business Development Manager Role Overview: Custom Solar is recruiting a Business Development Manager to support the expansion of their Sales Team. The role involves identifying, developing, and securing contracts for Solar PV systems and battery storage, with values ranging from £250k to £2million+. Key sectors include commercial, industrial, public sector, and new build commercial developments. Responsibilities:

  • Identify and convert new sales opportunities.
  • Engage with corporate end users, building relationships with senior figures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage projects from conception to contract signature.
  • Work with external partners to provide funding options.
  • Develop new business opportunities for the company's O&M offering.
  • Requirements:
  • Proven track record in selling commercial PV systems (desirable)
  • Broad technical understanding of Solar PV, battery storage, and UK energy markets.
  • Experience in consultative sales processes and managing tendering processes.
  • Ability to generate leads, maintain relationships, and convert sales.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Energetic, self-driven, and motivated to succeed.
  • Understanding of financial and funding models.
  • Results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
