Summary
A Vacancy at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
The KMPN Business and Contracts Manager is a key member of the network Senior Leadership Team and will work with colleagues, senior leaders and Board members across KMPN, its partner organisations and beyond to provide business development and contracting advice and service for the network.
Accountability
- Effective management of identified contracts and business development for the network pathology services
- Planning and managing highly complex projects within the network to develop and enhance the range of services and provided to service users
- Lead on embedding sustainability through network maturity journey as a key step in driving a greener future for pathology in line with the Greener NHS strategy
Strategy and Leadership
- Implement an annual contracting strategy which will support the strategic vision of KMPN, focusing on contract areas with the greatest opportunity to add value to our partners.
- Demonstration and Promotion of the values and leadership qualities of the network.
- Develop and implement a sustainability strategy committed to highlighting opportunities and benefits of recognising environmental sustainability in pathology as a key service.
- Embedding and management of environmental sustainability within network vision and values

Fordcombe Hospital, near Tunbridge Wells, became part of the Trust in October 2024. Specialising in planned care, it offers two operating theatres, 28 inpatient and day-care beds, diagnostic services (X-ray, MRI, CT, and endoscopy), and consultation/treatment rooms.
