We are looking for a Business Analyst with the right experience to understand and analyse user and business needs in relation to Surge Response.

The CDO Group mission is to enable UKHSA to make the nation's health secure through safe and innovative digital capabilities and by the transformation of public health data, analysis,insight and surveillance.

This role sits within the Surge Response Service Programme. As part of its remit for Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response, UKHSA acts as a Category 1 responder under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. The government states that UKHSA should have well-tested response capabilities to detect, contain and treat novel infectious diseases as part of its responsibility for preparing for the risk of 'Emerging Infectious Disease'.

The Surge Response Service (SRS) Programme will build a flexible and scalable set of capabilities to respond to a range of health threats. This includes the capability for health protection teams, organisations, and the public to order test kits, fulfil orders, process and notify results and support contact tracing and targeted advice and guidance., As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding and analysing user and business needs for initiatives for small to medium size projects or working within a team of business analysts under the direction of a Senior Business Analyst on more complex projects.

You will ensure that outcomes are aligned with the service vision and business strategy.

You will facilitate collaboration and communicate with stakeholders to support the design, build and delivery to meet the user needs.

This role is aligned to the Delivery, Data and Technology Framework (DDAT) career pathway Business Analyst.
