Business Analyst

Are you an experienced Business Analyst looking for a challenging new role? Sopra Steria's Aerospace, Defence and Security sector are currently recruiting for a mid-senior level Business Analyst to support with a brand new project working on a secure client in the public sector. This is a unique opportunity to help support the delivery of a high-profile project within one of Sopra Steria UK's flagship accounts. We are looking for a solid Business Analyst with varied experience who does the fundamentals well, any experience with legacy migrations would be a benefit. This role will be based out of one of our offices in either Salisbury or Portsmouth with some flexibility for home working. Due to the nature of the client we are only able to progress with British nationals eligible for SC clearance. What you'll be doing:

• Requirements Elicitation: Leading complex requirement gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders to capture detailed business needs.
• Process Modelling and Improvement: Creating process models of moderate to high complexity to visualise current and future business processes. Identifying inefficiencies in business processes and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Documentation: Developing comprehensive and often complex documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories.
• Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations managed. Coordinating and leading client meetings and acting as a primary contact for the client for major components of a solution.
• Solution Design: Designing and validating high-level functional solutions that meet business requirements, address feasibility issues, align with technical constraints and comply with the project framework (concepts, standards, user experience, etc.).
What you'll be doing:
• Business Analysis: Expertise in advanced business analysis techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
• Requirements Elicitation and Analysis: Skilled in eliciting, analysing, managing and documenting business needs and complex requirements.
• Process Modelling and Improvement: High degree of proficiency in business process modelling. Good understanding of process improvement and optimisation strategies and methodologies.
• Methodologies: In-depth working knowledge of delivery principles and methodologies such as agile and waterfall.
• Solution Design: Proficiency in developing comprehensive and scalable business solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Advanced skills in managing relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring their needs are met.
• Documentation: Highly proficient in creating detailed documentation for the full range of business analysis activities, including business cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
