Full Job Description

The RoleMost of your apprenticeship will be spent working and learning on the job. You will support a range of teams including HR, Utilities (UT), and Operations, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day business activities.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will develop key administrative skills, gain insight into different business functions, and contribute to important operational processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesEngineer Scheduling Support

Assist with coordinating and scheduling engineers for jobs, appointments, and site visits

Maintain accurate records of engineer availability, workload, and job allocations

Communicate with internal teams and customers to confirm appointments and updates

HR Support

Assist the HR team with recruitment administration, onboarding tasks, and employee documentation

Help develop and maintain a social media presence to support recruitment activity

Maintain employee records, training logs, and compliance documentation

Support the organisation of training sessions, staff communications, and HR initiatives

Operations Support

Provide administrative support to the Operations team to ensure efficient workflow

Log, track, and process operational tasks, service requests, and documentation

Assist with reporting, data entry, and maintaining operational databases

General Business Support

Respond to incoming enquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner

Assist with producing reports, updating spreadsheets, and preparing internal documents

Identify opportunities to improve or streamline processes where possible

Provide general office support including filing, scanning, meeting coordination, and system updates

English - Grade 4 / C or above

Maths - Grade 4 / C or above

Skills and Qualities

Good communication skills

Strong IT skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work well as part of a team

Proactive with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
