Full Job Description
An exciting entry level position is available to support North Herts Council's statutory functions, with a focus on council tax income collection and debt recovery activities. You will work closely with the Senior Technical Team and the Assistant Technical Manager providing support to recovery projects, monitoring software documentation, and communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders across the Revenues team. This role is not software or IT based; The position focuses on operational, administrative and procedural support. While council systems are used as part of the role it is not an IT or software focused position.
As part of your employment, you will undertake a Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship. Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship, or in a similar subject relating to business management. Please note, the successful applicant for the above post will be background checked with the Disclosure and Barring Service.The experience you will bring If you have an interest in business operations and the systems that support local authority services. This role offers valuable experience within local government and supports progression towards a business qualification. You will have:
- Good communication skills with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and apply new knowledge in the workplace.
- A flexible self-motivated approach to work
- Basic skills in using Microsoft office applications
