Full Job Description
As the Building Surveyor, you will manage client instructions relating to property portfolios, projects and transactions. You will provide advice across design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment, working alongside other technical disciplines.
The role will include:
Undertaking building and measured surveys
Advising on compliance with current building regulations and technical standards
Preparing specifications, maintenance programmes and administering contracts
Analysing and reporting on building defects
Managing claims and negotiations with loss adjusters
Preparing drawings and specifications for remedial works
Producing schedules of dilapidations for land and buildings
You will be a qualified and commercially aware Building Surveyor with experience working within a consultancy environment. Applications from non-construction related surveying backgrounds will not be considered.
The Building Surveyor must have:
A degree in Building Surveying or a related construction or property discipline
Chartered status (MRICS)
Experience delivering surveying services across a range of property sectors
Ability to manage client relationships and professional instructions
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
Strong written and technical reporting skills

This Building Surveyor role sits within an established Building Surveying function, offering exposure to a range of property sectors. The Building Surveyor will be based in London (SE1) and will work across portfolios, projects and transactions, delivering Building Surveying advice to a varied client base., The successful Building Surveyor will be joining a consultancy operating within a multi-disciplinary office environment in London. The business works with commercial, education, residential, leisure and healthcare clients and provides integrated property and construction advice. This Building Surveyor role supports continued growth within the surveying team.
