Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified Bridge Engineer (at Charteredlevel) or experience (Incorporated) Engineer to manage the maintenance and renewalof the County's bridge stock, numbering over 1,000 structures, which support over 3,000miles of highway network. The manager will be an integral part of the Highwaysmanagement team responsible for developing and overseeing asset managementstrategies and delivering all works necessary to upkeep and develop the network inresponse to the development needs of the Council.,
- responsibility for leadership, strategy and overall operational management of the critical public facing Bridges and Structures Team, whilst driving continuous improvement and performance management to improve outcomes for local people and communities.
- accountability for direct staff management, contract compliance, service delivery, asset management, stakeholder and customer management.,
- reporting performance measures at a senior level both internally and externally and will be expected to provide advice to assist with the strategic direction of the Service.
