Job Description
Bricklayer (No Experience Needed) United Kingdom From £27,282 a year - Full-time
Build bridges, buildings, runways and more across the world. As a full-time soldier, entry-level Bricklayer in the British Army, you'll:
- Become a qualified bricklayer and concreter ready to work on infrastructure projects
- Learn general construction, scaffolding, concreting, block laying and task planning
- Learn to work under tough conditions across the world
- Study for qualifications including an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Bricklaying and Concreting (Military Engineering)
Qualifications
- Be between 16 years 6 months and 35 years 6 months
- Have a GCSE Grade A-C/9-5 or Scottish National 5 in Maths, English Language and one other subject
- Be able to pass a basic fitness test

You don't need to know how to do the job before you get here because we'll give you all the training you need. Step 1 is your initial military training teaching you how to be a soldier, which will be basic military training if you're a Junior Soldier and adult basic training if you're a Regular Soldier. Step 2 will be 12 weeks at the Royal School of Military Engineering where you'll learn military engineering skills including demolition and bridge building. Step 3 will be 33 weeks of technical training at the Royal School of Engineering learning about brickwork, scaffolding and concreting.
