Full Job Description

  • Prepare and cook high-quality brunch dishes, sandwiches, salads, and specials.
  • Maintain excellent food quality, consistency and presentation.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls and company operating procedures.
  • Complete daily food preparation and manage busy service periods efficiently.
  • Contribute ideas for new dishes, specials and menu development.
  • Support stock control, deliveries and waste reduction.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and professional kitchen.
  • Work in full compliance with applicable UK food safety legislation, government guidance, HACCP procedures, allergen regulations and company standards.
  • Complete all required food safety checks, records and cleaning schedules.

    We're looking for experienced, enthusiastic chefs who want to be part of this exciting next chapter, bring fresh ideas and help us take our food to the next level., Minimum 3 years' relevant professional kitchen experience.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate required before starting (we can provide the course).
  • Experience in a busy café, breakfast, brunch or sandwich kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and allergen management.
  • Reliable, organised and confident working under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for food, creativity and maintaining high standards.
  • Flexibility to work shifts across 7 days, including weekends.

    Dan & Decarlo is an independent neighbourhood coffee shop with a passion for great coffee, quality ingredients and freshly prepared food.
    • We're investing in our future, improving our shop, upgrading our existing kitchen and building a brand-new preparation kitchen to the rear of the shop. Our goal is to become a more food-focused destination, expanding our menu and elevating the quality and creativity of our offering.

  • Full-time, permanent employment.
  • 40-45 hours per week.
  • Monthly PAYE payments.
  • Statutory paid holiday and workplace pension, subject to eligibility.
  • Upgraded kitchen facilities and a new dedicated preparation kitchen in development.
