THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO cover other absenceIF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR THE SECONDMENT POSITION, YOU MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM YOUR CURRENT LINE MANAGER PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THIS POSTAn opportunity has arisen within Laboratory Medicine for a Biomedical Support Worker. The successful candidate will work as part of a team, delivering laboratory results to in-patients, out-patients within our hospitals, and to GP surgeries within the Swansea Bay UHB., Phlebotomy duties on wards and clinics.Receipt and registration of patient samples, such as blood and urine prior to analysis.Assisting in the referral of specimens to specialist laboratories.Communicating laboratory information to users.Clerical duties.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
