Full Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic HCPC State Registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Clinical Biochemistry section of our busy, friendly, Blood Sciences department.
The successful candidate will be required to work at both Bedfordshire Hospital Laboratory sites based on service needs.
Once fully trained, they will be expected to participate in the 24/7 shift pattern across both sites where required.
The department has UKAS accreditation, IBMS/HCPC training status and is one of a few organisations to have Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, & Transfusion Science National School of Healthcare Science accredited training status for clinical sciences.
We are committed to developing our services further, through expansion of on-site testing and integration with other services., As a HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist you will:
Be responsible for conducting the day to day operations and technical aspects within Biochemistry in accordance with established protocols and standards.
Support the departmental laboratory seniors in the delivery of a high quality, efficient and effective service.
Be required to work across both our Luton and Bedford sites and once fully trained participate in the 24/7 shift rota.
Assist in delivering of training in accordance with the departmental training policy.
Be accountable for own professional actions.
