Biomedical Scientist - Cellular Pathology

We are looking for a suitably qualified Biomedical Scientist. Come to join the team in this busy laboratory, which offers experience in a wide range of histological techniques.

The role may include routine Histology, dissection, Immunocytochemistry, Electron Microscopy, Neuropathology and Non-Gynaecological Cytology. The department is fully computerised and processes approximately 34,000 surgical specimens per annum.

The Cellular Pathology Team work alongside 14 Consultant Histopathologist, Specialist trainees, and a SAS doctor in the Department of Cellular Pathology within a large and established Pathology Directorate providing Neuropathology, Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry, Non Gynaecological Cytology, Electron Microscopy and Autopsy services to Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
