Biomedical Scientist, Band 5- Histology

You will be working with us in the Cellular Pathology Department to provide a service to cancer patients, to ensure that they receive their results in a timely manner., You will have HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist or be in the process of completing your IBMS Registration Portfolio. Ideally you will have experience of working in a busy Histology Department.

You will work in all areas of the Histology Laboratory and be involved in provision of the technical service.

You will participate in provision of Biomedical Scientist cut-up as well as routine areas such as tissue sectioning and staining.

You will also rotate through the specialist areas of the laboratory such as Immunocytochemistry and Molecular Pathology

You will be ensuring that the Department meets cancer targets and you will need to have experience of working in a team

The role may include working an extended hours including weekends
