Billing Administrators

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for two Billing Administrators to provide efficient and accurate billing support to the Billing and Finance teams.

As part of a major business transformation programme, legacy billing platforms across the Water division of Marlowe Environmental Services are being migrated into a single billing platform. This role will support additional billing controls, validation checks and reconciliation activities to ensure invoicing accuracy, customer satisfaction and cash collection performance are maintained throughout the transition.

Role Responsibilities:

-Process and issue customer invoices across multiple entities in line with scheduled and ad hoc billing cycles.

-Upload invoices to customer portals within agreed timescales and customer requirements.

-Validate billing data to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance prior to invoice generation.

-Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, exceptions and internal billing queries.

-Identify and escalate system or process issues that prevent timely invoice production.

-Liaise with operational teams to obtain supporting documentation and updates required for billing activities.

Previous experience in a billing, finance administration, accounts receivable or similar finance-related role.

-Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across operational and finance teams.
