Full Job Description

Our team operates countywide across Hampshire, however this role will primarily focus on the Central and North regions, including Winchester, Basingstoke, Andover, Farnborough, and surrounding areas. Winchester will be your main office base. We may however, be able to offer some flexibility on location for the right candidate.

  • Deliver high-quality Bikeability cycle training to primary school pupils, groups, and individuals.
  • Work as part of a team to plan, risk assess and deliver safe and engaging sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor outcomes, and support quality improvement.
  • Drive the Bikeability van if qualified to do so (training provided) and manage equipment for sessions.
  • Promote cycling as a healthy, sustainable mode of transport and remove barriers to participation., Other roles you may have experience of may include: Cycle Skills Instructor, Cycling Education Instructor, Cycle Training Officer, Cycling Trainer, Cycle Safety Trainer, Bike Skills Coach, Cycling Development Instructor, Sports Coach, Outdoor Activity Coach
  • You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight or other local authority, and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.   • A passion for outdoor activities, comfortable working outdoors in all weather and physically active environments.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and risk management, and an understanding of what makes experiences truly valuable and high quality.
  • Ability to travel across Hampshire and transport equipment to schools.
  • Excellent communication skills and basic IT literacy.
  • Level 2 Award in Instructing Cycle Training (or willingness to train).
