BI Engineer

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you'll play a key part in building our modern cloud data platform, creating solutions that turn numbers into stories and insights. You'll work with a friendly, energetic team, support your fellow BI Developers, and collaborate with Data Engineers to deliver real impact across the business. • Proficient with ETL processes (SSIS, AWS Glue, DBT) and BI tools (Power BI, Sigma, etc.)
• Skilled in data modelling and modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
• Excellent SQL and database knowledge
• Passionate about data, with a sharp eye for detail and quality
• Confident communicator, able to make complex info easy to understand
• Experienced in agile environments and a true team player
• Creative problem solver who loves a challenge
• Adaptable and comfortable with change
• Tech enthusiast, always curious about new tools and trends
• Meticulous and thorough in everything you do
• Bonus points for experience with AWS, AI tools, big data tech, or data governance
  
  You'll be gathering requirements from stakeholders, designing intuitive visualisations, and developing robust data models that help AO run at pace. You'll support our migration to a modern data platform, maintain clear technical documentation, and respond quickly to incidents and change requests. Continuous improvement is in your DNA-you'll optimise performance, ensure security and compliance, and uphold coding standards to keep our BI solutions top-notch.
