About The Role

Are you an experienced communications and engagement professional committed to patient voice and community empowerment? Bexley Care Plus, the newly created Integrator in Bexley, is offering a great opportunity to work across organisational boundaries - including the NHS, local government and voluntary sector - to support its aims of understanding and meeting local needs through person-centred, equitable and proactive care at a neighbourhood level.

As our Communications and Engagement Manager, you will develop a comprehensive Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INT) vision, approach and delivery model; provide education and digital tools to help patients manage long-term conditions; co-design resources with patients and carers; and embed social prescribing to connect people to wellbeing activities.

While you will be part of the London Borough of Bexley's Communications & Engagement Team - a friendly and professional team with a broad range of skills and experience - your work will take you across the partnership. This is a fixed-term post for 12 months.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, and significant experience leading communications and engagement programmes in complex organisations, ideally in the health, social or local government sector.

For the full list of essential and desirable criteria for this role, please refer to the Person Specification within the Job Description attached.

Application deadline: 27 August 2026.
