Behaviour Support TA - SEMH School - Hackney


We are working with a well-structured semh school in North London looking for a Behaviour Support TA who can handle challenge without escalation. This is not a passive support role. You will be working with pupils who need consistency, structure and calm adults who do not react under pressure. The school has strong leadership and clear behaviour systems in place - you will not be left to manage situations alone.


What the role involves:



  • Supporting pupils with SEN / behavioural needs

  • Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff

  • Small group or targeted 1:1 support

  • Long-term placement with consistency


What they are looking for:



  • Calm, reliable and consistent personality

  • Experience in schools, PRU, SEMH or youth work

  • Ability to de-escalate behaviour, not inflame it

  • Thick skin and professional mindset


This role suits someone who can stay calm under pressure and handle behaviour without escalation.
