Ysgol CambrianBEHAVIOUR SUPPORT COORDINATOR NOR: 176 Age Range 3-19 years 32.5 hours per week (Term Time only) Salary Grade 7 (£31,022 and Special Class Allowance £1,539 x 77.15%) Start Date 1st September 2026 The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a forward thinking and enthusiastic individual to this new role, which will further enhance our behaviour and wellbeing provision across the school. The Behaviour Support Coordinator will have an understanding of, and enthusiasm for, creating opportunities for all pupils to achieve their potential, whatever their individual needs, through the development of positive behaviour strategies, proactive support plans and a nurturing, relationship based approach. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to supporting pupils with a wide range of additional learning needs (ALN), including those who may experience emotional regulation difficulties, sensory needs or behaviours that challenge. They will bring a strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma informed approaches, using these to promote safety, connection and consistency across the school. Strong communication skills, a calm and reflective approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies are essential. Experience of working with pupils who have additional learning needs (ALN) is essential.


PROTECTING CHILDREN AND ADULTS AT RISK IS A CORE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SCHOOL AND COUNCIL. IN ADDITION TO THIS SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITY, THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT FOR THE ROLE WILL ALSO BE SUBJECT TO AN ENHANCED DISCLOSURE AND BARRING SERVICE CHECK.
