Full Job Description

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional support. You will work closely with pastoral leaders, teachers, and families to help students overcome barriers to learning and improve their engagement in school.,

  • Support students with behavioural needs both in and out of the classroom
  • Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and personal development
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and interventions
  • Work closely with Heads of Year and safeguarding teams
  • Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing regular feedback
  • Support reintegration of students into lessons following behavioural incidents
  • Liaise with parents and external agencies where required

    Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or similar setting
  • Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
  • Resilient, calm, and patient approach
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with students
  • Understanding of safeguarding and inclusion practices
  • Commitment to supporting student wellbeing and progress
