Full Job Description
As Behaviour Lead, you will drive whole-school behaviour strategies, deliver staff training, and lead restorative practices. You will take responsibility for health and safety aspects including ISS - Part 5, and oversee all school risk assessments. The successful candidate must be CPI trained or a CPI trainer and will play a key role in liaising with parents and external agencies, supporting our inclusive and nurturing environment. - The chance to make a real difference to the lives of our pupils and their families Main Purpose of the Role Lead, develop and implement effective whole-school behaviour strategies and restorative practices. Oversee and conduct risk assessments across the school, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety requirements, including elements of the Independent School Standards (ISS) - Part 5. Provide staff training on behaviour management, de-escalation, and restorative approaches. Act as the CPI lead - candidate must be CPI trained or a CPI trainer. Monitor and analyse behaviour data to inform intervention planning. Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupils with challenging behaviour. Promote and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment.,
- Develop, review, and implement the school's behaviour policy and related procedures.
- Lead on all aspects of restorative practice and ensure consistent application across the school.
- Deliver staff training in CPI and other behaviour management strategies.
- Support colleagues in managing complex behaviour incidents and provide coaching as required.
- Conduct and oversee risk assessments, ensuring all staff are aware of protocols and procedures.
- Take an active role in elements of health and safety across the school, particularly relating to ISS - Part 5.
- Analyse trends in behaviour data and report to the senior leadership team.
- Design and coordinate personalised behaviour interventions and support plans.
- Work closely with parents and external agencies to ensure effective support for pupils.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of behaviour interventions and outcomes.
