Hartford Primary School own in-house Breakfast and After School Club are inviting applicants to join the new team at this exciting time. We are looking for a dedicated person to join our team providing the very best childcare in our school for each child, in what will be a very rewarding role. We are looking for a playworker who can bring fun, enthusiasm, professionalism and drive to our setting. Your responsibilities will include: -

• Helping prepare and deliver quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment as per the timetable
• Providing comprehensive care for the children
• Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment
• Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met
• Meet and greet the children on arrival
• Administering first aid, when necessary
• Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities
• Facilitating good communication with all team members, parents, children and school
• Undertaking appropriate and relevant training
• Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure
• Working within the framework of the school's policies and procedures
  
  Understanding the varied needs of children and their families
• Provide and facilitate safe play
• Good communication skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Sound judgement and common sense
  
  Pay: Grade 2, SCP £24,309 - Actual Salary £6,628 per annum, this is a term time role.
Hourly Rate: £12.60 Position Hours This position is to work 3 days a week initially (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) in the Breakfast Club (7.45am - 9.00am) and After School Club (3.00pm - 5.30pm). There could be a possibility to move to 5 mornings a week in the near future. If you are unable to commit to these hours initially, please still apply as we may consider the role on a job share basis or have some flexibility on days and times.
