Bartender and Waiter / Waitress - Riverside Studios - London

Riverside Studios is a multi-arts centre on the River Thames in Hammersmith, presenting contemporary theatre, film, visual arts and television production. Alongside our artistic programme, we offer a vibrant hospitality experience for audiences, visitors and event clients. We are looking for experienced Bartenders and Waiting Staff to join our Food & Beverage team. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two shifts are quite the same. You could be serving drinks before a theatre performance, managing a busy interval, looking after cinema customers, working a private event or providing table service in our restaurant. • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to company standards.
• Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
• Maintain good product knowledge across drinks and food.
• Take orders accurately and confidently using EPOS.
• Deliver food and drinks to tables and provide attentive table service.
• Keep bars, tables and front-of-house areas clean, organised and fully stocked.
• Support pre-show, interval and post-show service during busy performances.
• Assist with private events, corporate bookings, cinema screenings and special functions.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and complete relevant checklists.
• Restock, rotate stock and minimise wastage and breakages.
• Promote offers and confidently upsell food and beverages.
• Follow food safety, licensing, Challenge 25, health & safety and company procedures.
• Work closely with the kitchen, events and theatre teams to deliver a great guest experience.
• Support colleagues across our different F&B outlets as required.
  
  Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, café or hospitality environment.
• Friendly, approachable and customer-focused.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to stay calm and efficient in a busy environment.
• Reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and theatre performance schedules.
Desirable:
• Cocktail and/or coffee-making experience.
• Previous events, theatre or arts venue experience.
• Experience using EPOS systems.
