About Us

Stonegate Group is the UK's largest operator of pubs, bars, and late-night venues, including Slug & Lettuce, Be At One, and Popworld, to name a few. We're proud of our diverse portfolio and deeply committed to creating an inclusive culture that embraces individuality in all its forms-including neurodiversity. By fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and supported, we reflect the vibrant communities we serve and empower our people to thrive.

The Opportunity

We are excited to welcome new Bar Team Members to Pen & Wig. No prior experience is needed-we'll provide all the training and support you need. We value team collaboration and are looking for individuals who enjoy working together and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Can you…

• Greet every guest in a way that feels comfortable for you and helps them feel welcome.
• Follow clear steps to prepare and serve our high-quality food and drinks.
• Share recommendations when it feels appropriate to create a positive experience for guests.
• Help maintain a clean and safe space for everyone to enjoy.

A little bit about us…

We're a small batch of handpicked locals - your home for British hospitality. Regardless of the occasion, we're here to serve great-tasting food and drink, with our guests at the heart of everything we do. Located near Cardiff Crown Court, and so named due to the large number of legal practices in the area, The Pen & Wig is a haven in the middle of the city. Our drinks are our pride, with a vast range of wines, spirits, cocktails and an ever-changing selection of real ales sourced from our local breweries and further afield - earning us a place in Camra's Good Beer Guide for the last six years. Our stunning beer garden is the ideal spot to enjoy all the beers we have to offer, but when the winter weather gets too chilly, our traditional dishes are the perfect indulgence to warm up with - from hearty Sunday roasts to warming pies, lighter bites, decadent desserts and much more.
