Bar Steward

Bar Steward to join our team and provide an efficient, friendly and high-quality bar service to Mess Members and guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation. You will also have responsibility for the safe and accurate control of bar stock, cash and chit transactions, in line with company procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team and understands the importance of discretion and professionalism in a member-focused environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide a professional, friendly and efficient bar service.
• Serve drinks accurately and maintain excellent customer service.
• Manage cash, chits, stock and bar records accurately.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
• Restock the bar and assist with stocktaking and functions.
• Complete fridge temperature checks and follow cleaning schedules.
• Comply with Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Report any defects or concerns promptly to the Mess Manager.
• Maintain professionalism, discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  
  Must be 18 or older due to licensing regulations.
• Friendly, professional and customer-focused.
• Reliable, punctual and well presented.
• Comfortable working in a busy customer-facing environment.
• Confident handling cash and following financial procedures.
• Organised and attentive to detail.
• Able to follow company procedures and instructions accurately.
• Committed to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• A good team player with strong communication skills.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Safety-conscious and willing to follow Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Flexible and willing to support functions and other operational requirements.
