Full Job Description
Whelans Croydon is looking for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable bar staff to join our team. You will help deliver excellent customer service while maintaining the high standards expected across A.K. Whelan Pubs. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team and creating a welcoming atmosphere.,
- Provide friendly, efficient and professional customer service.
- Prepare and serve drinks correctly and promptly.
- Operate the till and handle cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain excellent cleanliness throughout the bar and customer areas.
- Keep draught bridges, T-bars, fonts and cask ale pumps clean and presentable.
- Replenish stock, fridges and bar supplies throughout each shift.
- Follow Challenge 25 and all licensing requirements.
- Support opening and closing procedures.
- Follow company policies, health and safety procedures and responsible service standards.
- Assist with live sport, entertainment and busy weekend trading.
- Communicate stock shortages, maintenance issues or customer concerns promptly to management.
- Work positively with colleagues to deliver a great customer experience.
A positive, friendly and professional attitude. - Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- The ability to remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred, although training can be provided to the right candidate.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the UK and meet the legal age requirements for serving alcohol.
