Bar Manager, The Fox - Moreton-in-Marsh

As Bar Manager, you'll have full operational ownership of the bar, setting the standard for service. You'll oversee everything from beverage pricing, ordering, cellar management and inventory, to keeping menus fresh, exciting, and perfectly curated. With a keen eye for detail, you'll continuously evolve our drinks offering to ensure it remains innovative, high-quality, and perfectly suited to our guests. You'll lead from the front, championing outstanding service and ensuring every guest feels welcomed, looked after, and valued. You'll ensure smooth service across the bar and tables, spotting potential issues before they arise. Behind the scenes, you'll maintain an organised, secure, and profitable beer and wine cellar, while keeping equipment and workspaces immaculate and safe at all times.,

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the bar, ensuring smooth service and a consistently high standard of guest experience.
• Uphold and champion all agreed steps of service, setting a strong example for the bar team.
• Oversea all stock management, including ordering, receiving, storage, rotation and usage.
• Maintain accurate beverage pricing and ensure all items are cost-effective and aligned with gross profit targets.
• Continuously review and enhance the drinks offering, identifying opportunities for new products, pairing and seasonal specials.
• Support the training and development of bar staff, ensuring consistent knowledge, performance, and service standards.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations, ensuring the team follows best practices.
  
  Strong leadership and communication abilities with excellent guest service focus.
• Highly organised, detail driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Previous supervisory or management experience in a bar or hospitality setting.
• Solid understanding of beverage products, including spirits, wines, beers, and cocktails.
• Familiarity with licensing laws, food safety, allergens, and general health & safety standards.
• Awareness of current bar trends and emerging market offerings.

• The on target earning potential for this role is 41,500 per annum based on a 48-hour contract - comprising a base salary of 37,500, plus a qualified estimate of 4,000 in gratuities and service charge. Please note that this role is paid hourly.
About gratuities and service charge: Gratuities are paid on a pro rata basis. It is estimated that in 2026 full-time employees can expect to receive in the region of 4,000 in addition to their annual salary.
