Location: LS23, BD10 and YO26 Contract type: Bank - flexible shifts Pay: £21 - £32 per hour, depending on experience Role Overview Optegra is recruiting a Bank Registered Nurse to join our eye hospital in LS23, BD10 and YO26 . Optegra is one of the UK's leading specialist ophthalmology providers, treating patients across cataract, glaucoma, refractive and medical retina pathways. As a Bank Ophthalmic Nurse at Optegra Yorkshire you will see patients through the whole journey - diagnostics, pre-assessment, surgery day and post-operative care - rather than one narrow stage of it. • Administer medicines and treatments in line with NMC standards

  • Assist with minor operations and support the theatre team

  • Maintain accurate, legible clinical documentation to NMC standards
  • Follow infection prevention, decontamination and clinical governance standards
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Skills and Experience Required Essential

  • Desirable
  • Previous experience in Ophthalmology, Theatre, General Surgery or Outpatients
  • You will ideally be someone who enjoys patient contact, works well in a team and stays calm in a busy clinical environment. What We Offer
  • £21 - £32 per hour, depending on experience
  • Flexible bank shifts booked around your availability
  • Specialist ophthalmology training and clinical development
  • Supportive multi-disciplinary team and consultant-led environment
