Banking and Financial Systems Specialist

The purpose of the role is provide specialist expertise and business continuity support across banking operations, cash allocation processes, financial interfaces and SAP-related activities. The postholder will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for complex banking processes, key financial systems and associated projects while leading the transfer of critical technical and operational knowledge into the wider team. The role is designed to strengthen organisational resilience, reduce reliance on key individuals, support operational stability, and ensure critical banking and finance system knowledge is documented, retained and embedded within the service.What you'll do:

• Provide specialist expertise across corporate banking processes, controls and procedures.
• Support the operational management of banking arrangements and associated financial systems.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve complex banking exceptions, processing failures and operational incidents.
• Maintain critical interfaces, files and feeds between banking platforms, SAP and other finance systems.

• Strong working knowledge of SAP finance processes and associated banking activities.
• Experience supporting financial interfaces, system integrations and data feeds.
• Experience of balance sheet reconciliations and banking control environments.
• Knowledge of cash allocation systems, preferably Serrala.
• Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex operational and system-related issues.
• Experience producing operational documentation and delivering knowledge transfer activities.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across finance, operational and technical teams., This post is subject to a Criminal Records Check and Non-Police Personnel Vetting.
