Responsible for providing a comprehensive, efficient health records and scanning service under the guidance and supervision of the team leader: including supply, collect, prepare and scan legacy case notes and documentation created at the time of the patients visit, housekeeping in the library areas of paper case notes and physical content that are not suitable to be scanned. In the admissions role our job is to activate patients that have attended for their planned admission and Emergency admissions all of which need to be completed within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) time-frame. Do you want to join a fabulous team in our Health Records department. A team who are dedicated, hardworking, supportive of each other , raise money for charity and laugh a lot and along the way. We have a dedicated trainer to take care of your training needs and offer support where needed.
The post is based at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital and we will consider part time working patterns between 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday .
This post would suit an organised, motivated and caring individual looking to develop their skills in new areas. If this is you please get filling in the application as we are keen to hear from you., To ensure patient records including referral letters are available on our Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) to support patient care. The role involves preparing packs for outpatient and inpatient visits, collecting patient packs from designated areas within the Trust using a trolley, preparing the documents ready for scanning, scanning of documents and Quality control.
You will need to be familiar with using Information Technology and have good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of MS Office 365 would be useful. An understanding of Information Governance (IG) principles and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is also very important to us.

Disclosure and Barring Scheme (DBS)

The healthcare sector is exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
In line with other NHS organisations in the North West Region, the Trust is now passing the charge for undertaking a DBS check on to candidates in the event they are successfully appointed into the post for which they have applied. Candidates can choose whether to pay this over 1-3 months as a deduction from the monthly salary. However, if you are applying for a post as a BANK worker, the payment must be made in full at the time of employment checks. The cost of an Enhanced Disclosure will be £55.38 and for a Standard Disclosure will be £27.38.
