Full Job Description

Join our welcoming and dynamic Physiotherapy Team and play a key part in supporting patients throughout their elective orthopaedic journey. Our team provides care for both inpatient and day-case orthopaedic patients at Emersons Green Hospital, and we also manage follow-ups and physiotherapy referrals for patients operated on at Devizes Surgical Centre, ensuring continuity of care across sites. In this varied and rewarding role, you will help deliver smooth patient pathways by assisting with pre- and post-operative group sessions, making follow-up calls, responding to voicemail and email queries, and helping prepare clear and accurate patient summaries. You will also support the administrative flow of the service by scheduling appointments and managing referrals into physiotherapy. You will contribute to the team's ongoing quality work through data collection, maintaining service spreadsheets, and supporting clinical studies and projects undertaken within the department. Your role will help ensure that our service remains safe, efficient and patient-centred through tasks such as stock management, infection control checks, health and safety monitoring, and participation in audits. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you will be involved in champions groups, service improvement activities and CPD sessions, helping us continually enhance the care we provide. A strong commitment to patient confidentiality, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and maintaining privacy and dignity is essential. You will also have the opportunity to support patients with learning difficulties, ensuring that our service is accessible, inclusive and responsive to individual needs.
