Visit our website to find out more about who we are: About the Service Clayton Brook House in Accrington, Lancashire, is a specialist residential service for autistic adults who have additional learning disabilities or other complex needs. We offer high quality packages of care and support which enable people to develop their independence and make the most of the many opportunities available to them. About the Role We are looking for caring and reliable Bank Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines. What You'll Do
- Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
- Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)
- Support life skills & independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation)
For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people - Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
- Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome As you are a bank worker, you will be able to pick and choose the shifts that you work, and services have a mixture of hours that can include evenings and weekends. Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is preferred, To protect our autistic adults at the National Autistic Society, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.
