Bank Support Worker

As a Support Worker, you will develop good working relationships with each of the guests staying, be able to recognize individual indicators of mental health or personality disorder needs and to have the skills to support the guests to develop appropriate coping strategies and sign post them onto other service providers for longer term support.

A large part of your role will be to implement planned, appropriate interventions, promoting independence, well-being and give then hope for the future.

You will also aim for the guests with mental health issues to stay for no longer than 4-7 days, and a structured 3 night stay for those guests on the Personality Disorder Pathway.

Heath and social care experience or qualification would be desirable but a passion for supporting people with mental health issues is essential. You must be an excellent communicator and possess good people skills. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting people with Mental Health and Personality Disorder issues in either a working or personal environment.
