Bank) Support Worker

Started in 1968 in Bromborough on the Wirral, we are now one of the UKs largest charities dedicated to supporting people with Autism. We now have many services throughout the Wirral and NW Cheshire We want our Support Workers to be:

• be reliable (key for relief workers)
What will you do as a Flexible Support Worker:
• Work across our regional area 1,2 and 3 services to include complex care
• Accompany the people we support to leisure and personal activities or appointments
• Support people to attend work or daytime activities - often in our own Day Services
• Help to maintain good domestic standards within the service (house) - encouraging the service user to participate in all domestic activities.
• Help with personal care if required
• Update paperwork/online care systems and other administration tasks as needed
• Prepare meals for or with the people we support - ensuring they have a healthy and balanced diet.
• Administer medication as and when required (full training provided)
• Support people through times when they are feeling anxious and display risk behaviours

  You must be currently working in healthcare or have recent UK based healthcare experience within the last 12 months!
  
  in addition to your pay, you will be entitled to a corresponding holiday pay uplift based on 12.07% of each hour worked. This will be payable at the same time as your pay and recorded seperatley on your payslip.
Hours: Work as part of our team of Flexible Support Workers (Bank/Relief) choosing when you work. Our daytime shifts are typically long days 07:00-2200 or half days 0730-1600 or 1600-2200 although this may vary from service to service. Waking night shifts are typically 2000-0800 or 2130-0730.,
• Full, paid, award winning training and ongoing support to develop your skills and to obtain formal qualifications in Social Care. (we may have to clarify what formal qualifications in Social Care means - if this is with regards to apprenticeships, I'm not sure we offer that to relief, so we may need to take that part out)
