As a Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist within the preschool team, you will assess, diagnose, and deliver evidence-based interventions to children with speech, language, and communication needs. You will empower parents, carers, and professionals through training, support, and collaborative working. Your work will primarily focus on children within early years settings such as nurseries, Family Hubs, and family homes. The main responsibilities include carrying out high-quality school-based assessments, delivering SLT assessments and interventions to preschool-aged children, and collaborating with parents, carers, and the wider childrens workforce to create tailored care plans.
