Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Bank Support Worker to work within our Sussex Family Eating Disorder Service.

To provide physical health care monitoring and support for children and young people referred with an eating disorder as part of a multi-agency approach to meeting the health and social care needs of children and young people who use our services. Comprehensive training for this role is provided combined with ongoing support and mentorship.

It is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi professional work environment consisting of occupational therapy, nursing, psychology, dietician, support workers and medics to support evidence-based care for young people and their families., Promote health and safety maintaining best practice in health, safety and security.

Physical health monitoring and support eg weight and height, blood pressure.

Work with the MDT to ensure young people receive quality care and intervention.

Share ideas with colleagues to improve care and suggest areas for innovation.

Adhere to legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines both local and national regularly attend workplace and staff engagement meetings and contribute positively to discussions about the improvement of care.

To support our Duty & Triage teams with reviewing of referrals and obtaining additional information in relation to these, and responding to calls/ queries from parents, young people and carers/ other service providers

Reviewing and updating risk assessments and care plans for those open to the service, as well as reviewing progress with treatment and updating records in a timely manner.
