Bank Senior Radiotherapy Radiographer - Band 6

The purpose of this role is to undertake radiotherapy interventions to the highest professional and technical standards, working with Medical, Radiography, Physics and Administrative colleagues., As a senior radiographer you will be under the supervision of the relevant Operational Manager. You may undertake all elements of the Pre-treatment Pathway, deliver External Beam Radiotherapy using complex techniques and equipment and participate in the Brachytherapy Service. In addition, you will be expected to perform the relevant data preparation for treating patients, attend planning meetings when appropriate and have exposure to all aspects of clinically relevant administration.

The post holder may be required to work in all areas of the department and have a flexible approach to rota changes.

As a key element of the role, the post holder will provide information, education, practical and emotional support to patients and carers during their radiotherapy episode.

The Royal Surrey Cancer Centre is based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and has a satellite service based at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill. This post is based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital but will include working at both sites.
