Bank Senior Finance Business Partner- R&D (Admin & Clerical Band 8C)

At Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust, we are looking to recruit for the position of a Senior Business Partner-Research & Development to join our staff BANK as Band 8C.

You will be expected to quickly develop an understanding of the business of healthcare provision, to support and lead on quality decision making through provision of excellent research and analytical support.

This opportunity is likely to suit a fully qualified accountant ., 1.Act as an expert within the highly specialised area of R&D finance, advising and resolving queries from other directorates on R&D finance accounting and liaising with Finance Directors and Head of Finance on complex matters relating to accounting for research funding.

2.Ensure senior managers and directors within R&D and other finance staff within the trust adhere to the complex rules around R&D income and expenditure.

3.Develop and implement financial strategies and R&D Finance Policy for the management and recovery of the trust's R&D income and expenditure.

4.Development of appropriate systems and procedures and overlooking implementation of new initiatives to allow the effective and efficient management and recovery of R&D income.

5.Lead on the development and implementation of policies and SOPs pertaining to the effective and efficient management all aspects of research finance.

6.Be responsible for the continuous development and improvement of the R&D finance processes, reporting , policies and SOPs.

7.Overlooking all financial reporting to the R&D directorate and Central Finance Head of Corporate Finance, and Finance Directors and CFO.

8.Lead the financial input into the production of the R&D annual/quarterly returns for all NIHR funding sources and to coordinate other mandated reporting of the trust's R&D finance performance in line with external deadlines.

You will be an integral member of the Trust's finance team and be expected to contribute to the development, agreement and implementation of priorities.
