Full Job Description
We are recruiting experienced Band 5 and Band 6 equivalent ICU nurses to care for patients with complex critical care needs. You will work alongside specialist nursing and medical colleagues, contributing your clinical experience to a team that relies on clear communication, collaboration and sound judgement., As a bank nurse, you bring valuable experience to every shift. In our ICU, you will use that experience to assess patients' needs, deliver individualised care and respond to changes in their condition, working closely with nursing colleagues, ICU Fellows, Consultants, physiotherapists and pharmacists. Alongside managing complex clinical care, you will provide reassurance and clear information to patients and their families, helping them understand what is happening at a difficult time. For Band 6 equivalent shifts, your role will also include supporting bedside nurses and coordinating the shift, providing clinical guidance and helping the team manage changing priorities. A recognised post registration qualification in intensive care or critical care is essential for these shifts.
As a bank colleague, you will play an important role in our ICU team, helping maintain continuity of care and bringing your experience to the patients and colleagues who need it on each shift. At The London Clinic, everything starts with our people. Whether you're at the bedside or behind the scenes, you're part of something bigger, making a real difference to patients and to each other, every day. As the UK's largest independent charitable hospital, we care for over 120,000 patients each year. We reinvest our success into our services, our technology and our people, supporting improvements in care and looking ahead to patients' future needs. Our main hospital has 234 beds, 10 theatres and a 13 bed intensive care unit. You will work alongside specialist teams within a hospital community of over 1,300 colleagues and over 700 consultant surgeons and physicians, united by a shared commitment to high quality, compassionate care.
