Bank Colposcopy Clinical Nurse Specialist

The post holder must be an experienced Registered General Nurse and be an accredited colposcopist by the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work with the Lead Nurse 's & Lead Clinician for Colposcopy and will work with the team of colposcopy nurse specialist who are responsible for efficiency and organisation of the colposcopy service and deliver integrated care for women.,

• The nurse will have in-depth knowledge of gynaecology and health promotion and be responsible for the co-ordination of all activities within the Colposcopy service and work alongside the nurse colposcopy team.
• The nurse will work in partnership with the named Lead Consultants to deliver clinical objectives for the Gynaecology and Colposcopy service.
• Be an accredited nurse colposcopist and act as an autonomous practitioner in undertaking diagnostic and therapeutic clinic sessions, taking responsibility and accountability for appropriate clinical management and care programmes. The post holder is responsible for the standards and evaluation of training and supervision of nursing staff within the unit.
• Participates in the collaborative management of the Gynaecology Service and is recognised as a key member of the senior nursing leadership team.
