We are looking for Bank Support Workers who have a caring and person centred approach and great communication skills. You must also have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, be reliable and honest, with a respect for privacy and confidentiality., This position has a genuine occupational requirement covered under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975, therefore onlyfemale applicantscan be considered. - Staff need to have a minimum of 6 months to a year previous care experience as this role has clinical complexities associated with the care provision requirements., We are recruiting compassionate and reliable Support Workers to provide person-centred care to two inspiring young women living independently in the North East. In South Shields, we support a warm and determined young lady with Ullrich Congenital Muscular Dystrophy, soon to begin her PhD. She requires overnight support with personal care, medication administration, and complex clinical needs. She values friendly, sociable staff who are happy to chat and take time to build confidence through shadowing. While she is incredibly positive, she can experience periods of ill health, so a sensitive and supportive approach is essential. In Heaton, we support a bright 24-year-old English Literature student at Newcastle University with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Autism. She uses a wheelchair full-time and has a PEG for medication, feed, and nutrition. Support includes PEG care, some personal care, and accompanying her to university, social activities, and appointments. She leads an active social life, enjoys wheelchair basketball, and values staff who respect her independence while being engaging and reliable. There is downtime during shifts, with access to a private room, making this role well-suited to students. A minimum of 6 months care experience is required. We are looking for individuals who are willing to learn, committed to delivering high-quality care, and passionate about supporting people to live safely, independently, and comfortably in their own homes.
