Bank Clinical Psychologist

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible band 7 Psychologist (0.5WTE) with some skills in and experience of working in paediatrics, to support the paediatric oncology psychology service at Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital. We are wanting someone with well- developed general skills in working with children and families and multidisciplinary working., The post holder will be providing psychological support to children and young people aged 0-19 years and their families under the care of the paediatric oncology medical team at Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital. There is an in and outpatient workload for patients on current treatment and their family members. It will involve direct assessment and intervention with individuals and families as well as facilitating group work with children and with parents. Specialist consultation and advice on patients' psychological care will be provided regularly to medical colleagues on the oncology day care ward and at psychosocial and multidisciplinary team meetings., The team is involved in a number of innovative audit evaluation and research projects, as well as developing and delivering a number of groups and workshops.
