You will help deliver a professional, friendly and efficient service across our hospitals, health centres and clinics. Duties may include welcoming and directing patients and visitors, answering telephone calls, responding to enquiries, managing appointments, maintaining records and providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our services.
You will provide a friendly, professional reception and administrative service, including greeting visitors, answering telephone enquiries, managing appointments, registering patients and supporting clinical teams such as Podiatry and Physiotherapy.
Duties also include maintaining tidy public areas, handling cash and banking, ordering supplies, managing incoming and outgoing mail, monitoring waiting lists and providing cover at other clinics and health centres when required.
Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
