Band 8b Senior Digital Clinical Safety Officer

Defence Medical Command is seeking a Band 8b Senior Digital Clinical Safety Officer to provide senior clinical leadership and governance for digital clinical safety across Defence health information systems. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Information Officer, the post holder will act as a senior clinical safety authority for the application of recognised clinical risk management standards, including DCB0129 and DCB0160. This is a key leadership role within Defence Medical (DMed) Digital, responsible for providing independent clinical safety assurance across Defence healthcare technologies and supporting the safe adoption of digital innovation across Defence Medical Command. The preferred base for this post is Defence Medical Services (DMS) Whittington, Lichfield, WS14 9PY but other MOD locations will be considered. As the Senior Digital Clinical Safety Officer, you will provide strategic clinical safety leadership across Defence healthcare technology, ensuring that patient safety is embedded throughout the lifecycle of digital systems and services. Acting as an independent clinical safety authority, you will provide expert advice, assurance, and governance to support the safe delivery and continual improvement of Defence healthcare capabilities.
