Full Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team on a full-time, fixed-term basis as an Advanced Pharmacist for Women's Services and Medicines Information.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialist clinical pharmacy services within Women's Services while supporting the Trust-wide Medicines Information service.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, provide expert pharmaceutical advice, support staff development, and contribute to the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines across the Trust., The post holder will be an experienced specialist pharmacist who is responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Team Leader for Surgery, in delivering, developing, evaluating and the day-to-day management of clinical pharmacy services to Women Services.
To support the Pharmacy Team Lead for Governance in the provision of a safe, efficient and comprehensive medicines information service.They will provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters, undertaking risk management and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation.
They will facilitate and support medicines optimisation 'putting the patient at the centre of their care' and delivering optimal quality, value and outcomes from medicines use.
The post holder will participate in clinical audit and practice research in their area of speciality.
The post holder (where qualified) may also work under this job description as a fully independent pharmacist prescriber in an agreed area of competency to meet the local needs of patients and the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
The post holder is expected to act as a role model in line with corporate & departmental objectives, NHS plan and the ICB system priorities.
